General Notes: The Vieux brothers came to the US from France before the Civil war. Pierre "Peter", Jean "John", and Cassimer served in the Illinois Infantry.  John was killed at Drewry's Bluff, VA.  Cassimer was discharged due to disabilities shortly after the war began.  Peter married Leanna Prichard and settled in Bourbon Co. KS.  Louis lived in Missouri and Kansas and married Nancy Webb.

2. Pierre "Peter" Vieux  (Louis Sr.¹) was born on 7 Nov 1842 in France, died on 7 Jun 1921 in Kansas at age 78, and was buried in Barnesville Cemetery.  Pierre married Leanna Prichard on 6 Feb 1876 in Glendale, Bourbon Co., Kansas. Leanna was born on 24 Sep 1857 in Virginia, died on 23 Aug 1933 in Kansas  at age 75, and was buried in Barnesville Cemetery.

3. Louis Vieux (Louis Sr.¹).   Louis married Nancy Lugenia Webb. Nancy was born on 18 Sep 1848 in Missouri  and died in 1880 in Kansas at age 32.  The child from this marriage was:

+ 6 M    i. Willis Vieux was born on 9 Mar 1876 in Kansas  and died on 17 Oct 1939 in Ashland, Pittsburg Co., Oklahoma  at age 63.
